Housing Services

WHAT ARE HOUSING SERVICES?

Lake Family Resource Center Housing Program’ focus is to provide stable housing assistance for survivors of domestic violence. Through this program, services provided are survivor-driven and truama informed.

  •  Financial Assistance (based on case management and individual need)
  • Individual Counseling
  • Support Groups
  • Credit History Support/Credit Establishment Support
  • Budget Management
  • Safety Planning
  • Housing Establishments/Support
  • Legal Advocacy/Accompaniment

No one should have to choose between homelessness and staying in a violent home. Without housing, many people are forced to remain in abusive relationships, accept inadequate or unsafe housing, or  become homeless. People who are out of the workforce and rely on their abusive partners financially, are especially at risk for unstable housing after leaving an abusive relationship.
