Programs

 

Current Programs Include:

  Healthy FamiliesThe Healthy Families Program is low-cost insurance that provides health, vision and dental coverage to children and pregnant women who do not have insurance today and who do not qualify for no-cost medi-cal. Low monthly premiums are $4 per child to a maximum of $45 per family.

Rape Crisis Center:
  The Lake Family Resource Center Rape Crisis Center can assist in advocacy for survivors of sexual assault

Community Crisis Line (Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Suicide):
  24/7 Community Crisis Line. You can talk to an advocate 24 hours a day for help with problems such as suicide, rape, or domestic abuse/violence.

Behavioral Health Services:
  The Lake Family Resource Center Behavioral Health Services department hosts several programs designed to assist those experiencing difficulties due to their exposure to violence or abuse. Issues treated include behavior problems, depression, post traumatic stress disorder and other forms of distress. We offer group programs as well as individual and family psychotherapy.

Early Head Start:
  Lake Family Resource Center Early Head Start is a Federally funded program that provides low-income families with children ages 0-3 and expectant mothers many services and resources.

Tobacco Education & Control:
  The Lake County Tobacco Control Program is funded through Proposition 99. The Tobacco Control Program educates our community about the resources available to undo tobacco everywhere.

Domestic Violence Assistance Program:
  The Domestic Violence Assistance Program assists and advocates for men, women and children who are survivors of domestic violence.

Adolescent Family Life:
  The Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP) serves California's pregnant and parenting teens. It is designed to improve their health, social and economic well-being and enhance their education. AFLP is administered by the California Department of Health Services, Maternal and Child Health Branch. Services are provided by Lake Family Resource Center.
