Healthy Families

What is the Healthy Families Program?
The Healthy Families Program is low-cost insurance that provides health, vision and dental coverage to children (ages 0-19), and pregnant women who do not have insurance today and who do not qualify for No-Cost Medi-Cal. Low monthly premiums are $4 per child to a maximum of $45 per family.

Who is eligible for Healthy Families Program?
-Children without health insurance and children on Medi-Cal with a share-of-cost provision.
-Must meet the income guidelines and be a resident of California (see income requirements below)
Pregnant women who do not qualify for Healthy Families, could qualify for AIM.

What is the Medi-Cal for Children Program?
The Medi-Cal for Children Program provides comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits for children. There are no monthly premiums and no co-payments for any benefit.

How will the Medi-Cal for Children provide health care for my children?
When you enroll your children in the Program, your children will receive the highest quality health, dental and vision coverage.

Who can answer my questions and help me fill out the application?
Lake Family Resource Center offers assistance to complete the applications and answer your questions. Call (707) 262-1611 or the toll-free number at 1-888-775-8336.
Appointments are available at locations throughout Lake County. Our coordinators can also come to places of business, schools, organizations etc.
